  1.                       Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
  2. SYMPTOMS usually begin with chills, severe headache, prostration and muscle
  3. pain. Fever of 103 to 104 F. within 48 hours and then in about another 48
  4. hours there will be a pink rash that starts on the soles, ankles, palms,
  5. wrist and forearms and then extend to the trunk, buttock, neck, face and
  6. underarms. There may also be delirium, restlessness and insomnia.
  7. CAUSES are from rickettsiae, microscopic parasites that are borne by ticks.
  8. TREATMENT. Consult your doctor immediately.
  9. .Pneumonia, heart and brain damage may be avoided by early treatment.
  10. .Medication will be prescribed.
